some updates...
Breezy
Breezy is still one of the hottest topic i believe. so far it ran well on both my T43 and home p3 500 box. The p3 is now using fluxbox, which i don't really see how much advantage i have with it especially when it is too simple :P. But never the less it is less resource-needy as Gnome and KDE.
Firefox with Sessionsaver
always got fed up when i cannot let firefox remember all the tabs i have when firefox crashes or is closed. This is a nice feature i would missed from Opera Browser. But today after a search (just to justify that such thing does not exist before i want to try to code one myself (as if)), i found out that SessionSaver might be the tool i am looking for. Installed it and wa-la! I can always close firefox with my tabs on, and get them back when i restart firefox the next time.
New music player
been using the default Music Player from Gnome/Ubuntu since i switched to Ubuntu, and never really tried or use other players. Thanks to spoonfork, i tried out Amarok and i must say it is the best/coolest player i ever used! I have heard it from a colleague early this year, when a student in our department needed to find out current products that has learning capabilities on human bahaviour with software, and together with Amarok and Audioscrobler this is doable.
played around with it, and now i started organizing my music albums (and next would be a MD recorder upgrade) :) Now that is some motivation to get my music all ready for my use after some years of random listening.
