wahlau's online hut

argh, today is a fighting day - fighting spam, though. Both wahlau.org and wojia.de were visited by some russian spambots, and started swarming in with "friendly" messages. So ended up removing them slowly, and decided to tighten things up.

great thing about FOSS is: i get many helps and options. From Drupal.org, there are many suggestions around, and i finally realised my spam module's setting was not really right. So ended up patching and reinstalling the modules, and get it up right. At the same time i installed a few more stuff: bad behavior, aggregator2 (updated) and also finally cleaned up the sites a little. next i know i would need to do some backup before one day i suddenly need to restore due to some itchy finger caused problem :) backup is always a good thing<tm>.

shall update this post when i have more time after/during the weekends. still need some links to point to those sites who have helped me. And, #drupal-support is a nice place to get nice friendly helps and suggestions. do drop by freenode irc channels if you are stucked somewhere. Help is always there, if you know how to ask nicely.

so far that's all. time to hit my bed.
