One thing i like about health insurance...

when i first arrived here in Germany, i realised that everyone here must get themself insured by a recognized health insurance policy. Like many students, we do think the fee is a burden to us. Paying so much per month (well, it range from 40Euros to say 100? at least?) but never get to use it - we all try to stay healthy you see, don't want to get sick in a foreign land :P But after some years, i start to learn about the benefits of having such an insurance.

Medical consultation fees in Europe are not really cheap. This will not change and will mostly to increase as time goes. You can experience that yourself in Malaysia. And with a good insurance policy, the consultation fees are covered by the insurance. That means, you go in to a clinic, see the doctor for 5 minutes or 50 minutes, you just walk out and pay not a cent. I realise in times of need, i see the benefit of the insurance. A few times i need to do some check ups, or a detail scan of my teeth to see if there is any problem, and again, they are covered in the policy. Often i receive offers for seminars and info events, and it is a way to teach us to stay healthy. All these are of course included in the package. So i am convinced now that we actually can make use of a good health system, and of course, health insurance.

I was taught as a young kid, to prepare myself for the rainy days. One of the ways is to get a good insurance - such as home insurance or life insurance. Different packages will have different pricings, but most of the good ones helps us to protect ourselves and our properties, and when undesired events take place, we know there is a place to turn to for help. On the other hand, you can always search on Internet for good offers such as cheap car insurance or similar things.

Remember to find a reliable insurance company - they are serious in their business, and also provide good service when you need help or advice. Saving a few bucks but end up with frustration is not worth it, especially when you are facing trouble and pressure... Ask friends and read reviews, they will be helpful in your decision making.
