wahlau's online hut

this is not new, it was announced earlier. What's new, is that i have installed the Maemo 2.0 Beta and tried it out. Despite its BETA status, many things work pretty ok (well, so far i only have Notepad crashing while saving). There is some speed improvement, and most interesting for me is the Jabber/Gtalk function. Trying out voice chat with a desktop client. It works pretty good. Some little part of conversations had some breaks in between, but generally i can live with that.

what's more exciting would be the announced PIM functionality from openhand. Now the tablet would not be just a pdf/html viewer or a not-so-intuitive music portable unit (i did not really like the outlet for the headphone), but a better multi purpose tablet unit.

now this is gonna be fun ;) can't wait til it is released.
