since a year ago, we have been witnessing lots of multimedia experiences enabled in the Internet. Videos can be now uploaded and played and shared easily, and this brought forward many newer ideas. For example, i just come across a new competition offered by Gofish.com

the online video site launched a new online competition called "Seduce a celeb". Don't get carry away with the title :) Basically it is a call for visitors to send in their videos to allow them to win a date with a celebrity. The first celebrity is the actress, Mirelly Taylor, who has appeared on movies such as Kiss Me Again and Serving Sara and television shows including “Las Vegas”, “Punk’d”, and “Numb3rs”. In Gofish you can see her video inviting contenstants to join the competition. If you are fans of her, you will not want to miss this chance (provided you can make it to the date too). She is sweet and pretty, and has a smart appearance. I believe some guys are already planning hard how to win with their creative videos!

This competition is different from some normal reality dating show. Those you see on TV are only for the selected few. This one here, offers the chance to everyone. As long as you have a decent camera that takes video, you should be able to uplaod your own videos to join. I think such offers can be difficult to handle if you plan to do it real life, but via Internet, technology really helps and simplifies.

Even if you are too shy to do your own video to join, watching the videos sent by current contestants will be entertaining enough to keep bringing you back to the site. I believe after this round, many other sites will surely kick off similar ideas to attract visitors. It would be of course interesting to also know who is next featured... perhaps your favourite singer or actor next?
