been sick. actually feeling it coming since tuesday, but wednesday is the grand opening :) so now a short update of things i should have been writing since then.

Apple iPod Touch
if you have not heard anything about it, it is time. Seeing it as an iPhone without GSM is perhaps the best way - that means, if you already have a nice phone can handles your calls and sms well, you might not actualyl need an iPhone for its coolness. iPod Touch would do it well with all the stuffs you ever wish to have as a mobile device.

n800 still going on strong?
with the challenge coming from Apple, will nokia survice the tablet war? well, war is a little exegerating, but one thing is for sure - mobile devices will be the next good thing. That matches what i foresee as future - you have little and big gadgets around, and they communicate seamlessly with one another. You don't really need an degree to use them, and they should be around to help you enjoying every day's life.

the maemo platform still move on strong - why? because it is hackable. People can work on it, and improve things easily. For close platforms perhaps only the big players will provide things to such gadgets. I am waiting for some of them - gizmo 4 with video, cooler/better multimedia player, webkit/gtk as another browser engine (talk about choices!) and more.

it is september
and boy i can't wait for the next Ubuntu release - Gutsy Gibbon in October. There are lots of goodies in store, so shall get it as soon as i can. Time to tidy up my harddisk, and perhaps repartition it. It's high time...

two papers' deadline, and i have not even got my drafts ready. i wonder will i cover that much in the next week. Let's see how it goes :)
