going electrical

Got some vouchers from a friend as birthday gift long ago, and did not know what to do with it. we finally made up our mind - we will buy ourselves an electrical toothbrush. Decision was easy, since we see many friends recommending it. The tough part was to know which to buy - you can start from 12€ and end up at 150€, looking at what the market is offering.

So yesterday we went over to the department stall, and checked out the choices. The common one was the 20€ Vitality from Braun. Looks nice and i think our friends also have that. While looking, a personnel came to assist us. Apparently he was representing Philips and recommended us the Sonicare series. The Philips products do look very impressive, and after looking at some reviews in the Internet, we were pretty convinced. Only thing is - it has a price tag of 80Euro.

What made it so tempting was the offer available now - you get 2 toothbrush for the price of 1. Now that made it really tempting. An equavalent Oral-B/Braun model with sonic movement cost at least 10€ more... this has somehow caused us some headache to make the right decission. On the other hand, the Philips was extremely helpful and friendly to tell us about the benefits of such a system. We realise everytime he mentioned about the benefits, he somehow will automatically move his tongue to feel his teeth, as if he was trying to justify his points :)

after some hard consideration, i picked up a Braun unit instead. I just could not really justify the budget for such a high-tech toothbrush. 80€ is still quite an amount, especially your (bi-)monthly toothbrush usually cost only a few euros. I think as a start we need to first understand and enjoy the general advantages, before we can invest in a real good system. After all, we were not getting much problem with our teeth so far, and our dentist had never complaint about them too. So i think we will now just make a small step to adjust to it. If it really does a great job for us, perhaps the next unit we can consider something better (faster?) :)

btw, i notice wifey started licking her own teeth now too. i think that is perhaps the side effect of having an electrical toothbrush ;) he he...
