First impression on the Zuiko 25mm pancake lens

as mentioned earlier, the pancake finally arrived, on time before we set off for Hannover :)

Attaching it to the camera, the already small E-410 looks smaller and more compact:)

I am no camera test experts, but i did some testshots to check out what i can get out of this small thing. My own observation is pretty good - for relative less money, you get a small lens that takes clear pictures - and it helps you to continue to enjoy the size advantage of the E-4x0 series (i think E-5x0 would be equally small with this pancake too, but i have no experience with them). I brought this combination along to Hannover yesterday for the 4th International Gospelkirchentag, and i managed to make lots of good shots (i am a newbie photography-wannabe!) without the need of changing lens. I actually left my 14-42mm back home, and only took the 40-150mm with me just in case i need to make shots from far away.

Some tests shots i made the moment i got the lens are shown as follows:

basilicum-near shot...

i can't remember whether if i used the macro mode. But the close shot is really sweet ;)

then a sample shot with a pen at f2.8. neat effect ;)

hopefully i will get the time soon to put up some shots i made on Saturday. I will say if you are on tight budget, and wish to have some portability and to make snapshots while on the move, this lens can be a good choice. Leave all your "normal" ones at home, and just leave for a nice weekend outing with this pancake, and i believe you will still be able to bring back nice moments in your camera without regrets.
