i have been telling people that i want to watch The Chronicles of Narnia when we are back home. And guess what, we can even use the statement "I have not even made it to watch narnia" to explain to others how busy our schedules are .

After attempting numerous time to book ticket online/via telefon for our nearby Bukit Raja TGV, i gave up this morning and tried Sunway Pyramid instead, and there we go. Got tickets for 3 of us: my wife, my mother in-law and me. We entered to the show slightly later, and the Pevensie family were already running and hiding from bombers.

I won't go into the details of the movie. As usual, all movies based on story books are not gonna do 100% what are stated in books. Overall the movie is great and entertaining, unless you have expectation like Doc. You get pretty educating stories, and kids (say until lower secondary) can watch this show with their parents. Try that with Lord of the Ring, i think kids will perhaps learn other things. Well, kids nowadays are anyway more canggih than us long ago. -_-"

While watching the show, i actually had a funny feeling in quite some parts. I felt like weeping. No idea why. Perhaps i knew roughly what is to come. Many told me about the resemblence of Narnia's story to christianity. Seeing it did ring some bells: prophecies, Aslan's deal with the queen, betrayals, mocking and death and resurrection of Aslan and many more. I am not gonna preach here. But many things would set me thinking: What is C.S Lewis thinking when he wrote the book?

so from my side, no matter if you are christian or non-christian, do take time and go watch the movie. Or better still, read the book. I think it would be as nice as Harry Potter (oh please fans of Harry Potter, don't kill me for comparing HP with Narnia ). Please don get set back because some people tell you that this show has something to do with Jesus. Some actually watched it and did not know/sense anything at all. I believe still, that this show can be something that make help you visualize certain parts of gospel. It might help you to understand a little better on what we christian have been believing all this while.

• the boy with his parents in front of us, was pretty excited with the show. He even explain to his dad telling what happened. Have not seen a show where children can share with parents about what they know and think about things going on on-screen.
