one thing about staying in Germany is the painjoy of Do It Yourself. DIY is no longer something new, the only thing that would decide is the cost of getting things done. Back home it might be still cheaper to get things done by others, since costs are relatively worth it than trying it yourself. This is going to change when you standard of living starts to increase...
Many would not like to do that, because it takes time and effort to get something simple done. Imagine spending the whole day trying to fix up a kitchen set. Wait a minute, not ready to assemble type, but directly with raw materials.

Well, my first attempt wasn't something really successful. Being a newbie, i just tried my best to fix up a few hooks to hang kitchen cupboard up, only to know later that it was not straight at all! The saying "knowledge is power" is good - after asking people, then only i know i need to first get a water-level device to get it straight *slap self*. As i tried out new things, i realise many things are not exactly that difficult to do - you only need the right know-how, and equally important - the right tools.

With it you can learn how to build bookshelf, or perhaps renovate your kitchen and more. It also offers a "DoItYourself" DVD that gives DIY tips and help. today i have finally got kitchen table done up. Now we have a nice table at the window side, build up from cupboard and long table wood. Next i will put up selves under the new table, and then put up white film over the table and cupboard, so that it will look neat. I believe next we are almost done with the kitchen. There are still things to be done, but i think we can do them slowly in months to come (hope wifey gonna agree with me :P)
