ever wonder why is Easter celebrated? Do you know who is the center of this event, and why christians go through this year after year?

we were at the Easter service this morning with Getup!. Being in church at 6am is some experience, if you have never tried that before. What i realise is the point we should be reminded of the meaning of Easter again. Many a times we take things for granted. We can even sit in church singing songs about Jesus' death and resurrection, without feeling much about them at all. Christianity without crucification and resurrection equals null. Yeap, you hear it right. It is His death and resurrection that gives us hope and salvation.

a friend told us we all can do things according to our conscience. I won't disagree, because even this itself is something difficult to achieve. But Jesus came to tell us we can save our headaches trying to be perfect - He had paid it all so that we can enjoy life that is designed for us to enjoy. Many do not buy this idea, for whatever reason, and sometimes it is difficult to explain how we see things from our perspective. We all fall short of the ultimate standard set by the God above us, and we need His help to satisfy the standard - His grace and love is enough for us.
