it's sunday again, and after two services, some thoughts of the day...
Life
we all have lives. some like it with career, some has priority in their families. Some knows their limits, and will always try to overcome them. Some seek their whole life, in order to find some explanations or meaning to life, and some never find them. No matter what, there is something we cannot neglect - without knowing our lives, it is perhaps not much meaning continuing one's life.
how do you define yours?
Growing pains
"Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches." - matthew 13:32
the pastor spoke today about how a mustard seed grows, with some illustrations. The part that caught my attention, is how he described the core of the seed during the process of growing - it needs to go through hardship and breakthrough, perhaps also pain. The different layers that wraps around the core of the seed are not easy to be broken, since they are there to protect the core in the first place. Imagine being so small, and need to break open so many layers before the seed can turn into a tree...
now that is some process i think.
how many of us are going through some pains now, especially in facing our own experiences and lives? do we see them as hinderences, or part and parcel of our lives' walk?
