Easter for you and me

even though this might be a little late (at home it is already afternoon :) ), but after reading the post from Susan, i think i wish to also take this chance to tell all the visitors something about Easter...

away for a weekend and mobile

this weekend we are visiting our friend in frankfurt. we have decided to travel light - in other words, no heavy stuffs, no non-sense and no notebook. but i would not want to be totally disconnected, so naturally i need my gadgets around. therefore the n800 has been called into duty again.

this time i do it slightly different. i tried the thumb keyboard since i find typing using the stylus rather slow. so far it does the job pretty fine, surprisingly! it is not 100% like using the normal keyboard but it is also not as bad as i thought. perhaps it is just a matter of getting used to.

new gadgets at home

since lack of updates, perhaps it is time to announce what kept us busy :)

middle of the night...

how do you feel when you are still up at 4am in the morning, working on things you never feel will finish nor end, just because you cannot sleep 4 hours ago?

Well the chips/biscuits do taste pretty nice, so that is a plus :) else, i am hoping to retire earlier today from work - did manage to review another chapter of writing for my student, while did some reading and now figuring out what to do next.

perhaps should go back to bed ;)

Lean on me...

a different version from the original, but still greatly sang, despite some glitches here and there (IMHO).

sweet memories on St. Nicholas day.

It was the St. Nicholas day here in Germany yesterday. It is a traditinoal day where children will get their gifts or sweets (put in their boots), and some believe that St. Nicholas is the traditional Santa Claus. Even adults will buy simple small gifts to give to each other to share joy and love. In the university canteen we usually get special menu - for example, yesterday i had one of the best roast duck ever in the university. they should do this more often. LOL :)

old fashion gifts

after being complained by andi, i've decided to write something. i do think no blog as a sign of being busy and occupied, though i do not know what others might perceive ;)

while reading through some usual feeds, i noticed the blog from Seth very true:

Boots temptations...

I think i have mentioned this before - i like boots. Since i had my first pair of Doc. Martens, i always wanted to at least have one at my rack. Reason - they are comfortable (not at the initial weeks though) and tough. one more reason now when i am living in Europe - they keep your feet warm too! So until now i appreciate them more when winter comes.

Jaiku is now part of Google's big family

saw this in my mailbox today: a mail from Jaiku, an activity stream and presence sharing service, working on web and mobile phones, is now part of Google. For more information read here. i have tried their services since months ago, and find their software neat and nice. You will be able to update your location and other information while you are on the move. If you coupled your phone with it, you can even help the system to almost precisely note down you current coordinate.

The olympic torch relay carried by someone you respect

If you have been following different sport events, you might also followed Olympic games. Every 4 years there will be a huge sport event, gathering the best from every country to compete for the honour and pride. And months (or weeks) before the grand event the Olympic Flame will be carreid by different people from Athen to the place of the event, then the openning ceremony of the Olympic Games of the year will be ended with this flame.
