yup, as mentioned earlier, upgrade was over, and now i am using Ubuntu Breezy.
after downloading of 700+MB from apt repository, and 1 hour installation, a reboot brought me to my new system. Process is painless, except i need to answer some questions (they are related to custom configurations i have made on the system). After apt-get ended, i rebooted the machine and a brand new splash screen is there. Everything works just like before (even dual head display!) until i login - the previous theme under hoary is now known as custom theme. So many things did not showed up as expected/before (like icons and panel colour and look).
now i have switched the theme, and it looks almost like my old desktop :) sweet...
(screenshots will come, when i know how to get them, and how i can tidy up my desktop :))
[updates]
1. java is no longer set to Java 5 i installed earlier. It is now the default jre i assume - GNU interpreter for Java bytecode. Eclipse still work, but azureus refuse to run. I have then specifically defined it to use jre 1.5, and now it is happily doing its job.
2. polypaudio's esd sink seemed to be not working. I switch now to Alsa using the Multimedia System Selector, and sound is again working (with multiple stream).
3. to my pleasant surprise, Breezy supports tpb out of the box. no more customed compile kernel for this :)
4. CD burning seemed to be not working so well, but i shall try tomorrow with another media. Burning works! k3b works like charm ;) burnt breezy CD for home desktop upgrade.
[ToDo]
1. get bluetooth working, so that i can sync phone related stuff.
2. get wireless working after suspend. a problem i had since Hoary.
3. try out fluxbox, which might make everything faster (i hope) and speedier.
4. work on C and C++... so that i can be not-so-wannabe.

Congratulation
Congratulation! I'm still stuck in "Get:36 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com breezy/universe wine 0.0.20050725-0ubuntu1 [14.5MB]" 8%.................
well...
the download is slower than usual but understandable: the world is now at Breezy heat :)
