Welcome to Wahlau's online hut

little info about wahlau:
wahlau is from Malaysia, currently living in Kassel, Germany. He is happily married with the most wonderful woman he can ever meet. Admirers should perhaps skip this shameless chap. It's not worth it after all. He is simple, and optimistic. He believes in God, which he constantly try to prove rationally even though he knows it is impossible. Giving up is not really what he dares to try. therefore he can only just keep on trying.

wahlau.org is the personal site of wahlau (duh!), who got this name when he first had to decide for a (then) cool internet login handle for his first internet account with Jaring. With this name he tried to hide his real identity, while keeping his real temperament and true-self in his daily net-life. Being wahlau is not being another person in the virtual world, but just a virtual representation of himself with a (then as if really) cool name.

Now wahlau is venturing into different stuffs. Besides food and sleep, he does use his time for research and FOSS related stuffs.  He believes in web technologies, smart pervasive computing and community power. He does not think knowledge should be kept to oneself, but instead should be own and used by anyone who needs it. That is why he still try to skip working in the real battlefield, and decided to stay in the safe zone to pursue his PhD.

this site is of course, still under construction as millions of websites in the vast www.  you are always welcomed to visit and leave your comments and views when wahlau lost his mind, writing nonsense again.

Yooo sifu, a very long long time never see you since the good jaring newsgroup discussions hehe :)

Hi Wahlau, and thanks

Hi Lau Sian Lun,

found your page because I was looking for the right modelines for a Samsung 225BW, which my brother bought yesterday. So thanks for that one first.

Then, after a closer look, I found out that you are from Malaysia (Selangor), and living in Kassel, Germany? Great - I'm from Germany too, and married to a Malay, so we really enjoy it whenever we can go there to visit relatives.

Kassel, hm? We just moved from Bremen (in the north) to Freising (close to Munich, in the south). So whenever you have time, mail and visit us.

 cheers,

wjl aka Wolfgang Lonien
